Corning Opens R&D Center in Taiwan

Corning recently opened an R&D center in Hsinchu, Taiwan, which will not only carry out research on LCD glass substrates, but also on areas such as FTTP (Fiber to the Premises), biotechnology, and energy sources. One of its main research partners will be Taiwan's ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute). The new center is Corning's second R&D facility in Asia, with the other one located in Japan.
